Suncatcher Production Ramps Up!

Birds and citrus, I see a pattern forming here… So! As I mentioned in the last post, I was very happy with my redesigned citrus patter. After the lime, I moved onto the orange and the lemon. I still haven’t made a blood orange though… huh, that’s not a bad idea. Anyway! I made a new bird pattern as well. A little simplified compared to the red-tailed hawk, though again I will revisit that particular idea. This is getting confusing, let’s look at some pictures.

A chickadee!
I just love the potential texture some glass adds to a piece. The citrus segments with those bumps, well, I just love it.

Now that I had a few patterns I liked, a new challenge was making them over and over. For one thing I would find out if they really were good patterns, and I would also build up an inventory of pieces to sell at art markets coming up later this year. Sort of a two-birds-with-one-stone-thing. (That time I was going for the pun)

Chicka-dee-dee-dee
